Re: WTB: 300ge Heater lines

Easiest option is to ask a hydraulic shop to bend a new return pipe that goes between the thermostat housing and the heater core return hose. Make it out if stainless steel hydraulic tubing and you don’t have to paint or treat it. Replace the bracket with some other clamping solution. Reuse part of ...

Nice work! :)

What ABS plastic sheet did you use? Any link?

Re: Brake master cylinder resevoir grommets. where to buy?

Do you mean the rubber grommets towards the reservoir? They are included in the rebuild kit and they do not differ between the two sizes of master cylinders in w460.

You can also buy them as ATE / FTE parts.

Re: Speedometer access? How to remove damper...

I didn’t have to grind down any wrench or use special tools to remove the damper and rear prop shaft on my 300GD .

Is it really necessary? Does the Workshop Manual really call for any special tools for that job?

Re: Speedometer access? How to remove damper...

Its just a matter of removing the 8 flange bolts and nuts.

You can mark the flanges and put it back the same way.

Re: 460/461 single rear seats

In one of those pictures somebody has mounted LWB front seat bases in the back rotated 90 degrees. Not very wise I think since stuff inside the boxes will hit the hatch in a heavy brake situation and the latch holding it closed isn’t very strong. Also the rear seats are then positioned very high wit...

Re: 460 Lockers Won't Engage

The F-fitting is NLA but there are still a few places in the US that has it in stock.

I doubt thats the only problem though. Probably seized up master cylinders and maybe leaking slaves.

Re: The Final Frontier

I think what kafkaonwheels is trying to dig out is a cheaper alternative. Same motor but different price since most G parts have a huge markup.

The w124 Hella/BEHR part is available new at 100 EUR incl. tax for example.
