Re: Panhard bushings

Thats nice. A bit pricey for two bushes though when you need four but sure.

PU bushings are also available for the early type panhard rod. I have some of them as a spare.

Re: Panhard bushings

Only difference on those bushes are manufacturing tolerances or the fact that the old ones have been pressed into the panhard rod and lost some material / corrosion etc. The early type bushings have much smaller diameter. Early type ø35mm Late type ø40mm Early ones are NLA. But you can remove the me...

Re: Basic brake cable question

Cheapest and most reasonable way to renew the rear brake pads is to reuse the old brake shoes and just fit new pads to them (rivets). They don’t cost much from Textar. The MB rear brake adjusters are far easier to source and much cheaper. How often do you have to replace them though? Service them on...

Re: what 5 speed box...?

I have driven a 711.116 that shifted fine without any grinding from 1 to 2 gear. With all parts OEM from w461 Wolf. Shift linkage, shifter mechanism etc. Isn’t the problem that alot if these boxes get abused alot in vans or military vehicles. And the 1-2 gear synchronizer are the ones that usually g...

Re: Otiswesty 300GD truck project

Are we looking at an OM617 N/A w460 manual gearbox throttle linkage?

In that case non of the springs shown in this thread are OEM.

If its an auto trannie, I havy no idea. Have a look in EPC?

Re: Military LWB kastenwagen shell.

Not to mention, the time needed, the fire wall condition and potential wish for steering side change. The dutch army Kastenwagen shell is LHD too. I guess looking for a rustfree RHD Kastenwagen shell is worse than finding a needle in a haystack. Ofcourse a complete rustfree shell is easier. But the...

Re: Military LWB kastenwagen shell.

Why don’t you buy new OEM rear fenders and rear corners and repair the one you have?

It will cost you way less than a new shell even if you let someone do the job. Both shells will need a repaint anyway?
