Re: Curtis New to Clubwagon Forum with Questions

Welcome & congratulations on purchasing a really great G! In addition to what G Nome recommended, you should check the cooling fan clutch - they are usually ready for replacement by this age, and will give symptoms like you describe - overheating only during heavy loads. As for ovaling of the cy...

Nothing wrong with that slope from what I can see. Do what you need to so the driveline is as straight as possible. The current setup is guaranteed disaster. A tilted engine is not.

Re: Replacing coil springs - what tool?

Disconnect both rear shocks at the bottom mount, jack up the frame & let the axle droop down. You can lift each spring out easily. Your brake lines should be long enough to accommodate this. Similar for the fronts, but they require a few firm kicks to remove/install.

Re: Possible Single DIN Solution?

Re: wtb rear sliding windows for swb 463..

I've tried to get US manufacturers to make them. Two of the corners have a bend radius that is too tight for our materials/equipment. You could make something work 80%, but with the wrong bends I think it would look weird. Plus they quotes nearly $1K per pair!

Re: WTB: Provisional Lower Dash W461

The factory put 5.25" speakers in the lower dash on civilian models. I have a Chinesium sheet metal punch set that goes to about that diameter. You might think of looking for one - it makes a very clean hole & the hydraulic versions are really easy to use

Re: Bleeding brakes-need advice

After both rear wheel cylinders. I'm assuming the wheel cylinders and proportioning valve are new as well? It's a good time to replace ALL hydraulic system rubber or you will only get more frustrated.
