Re: 460 rear tail / brake bulb

How would this LED bulb help? Normally the light leaves the filament, bounces off of the reflector and then leaves the light fixture. This LED bulb would amount to a small 2cm circle of light.

Re: Anybody want a 1993 463 G300?

When I first checked mine out at G&K there was a G300 non-turbo diesel there too. I think it was this color (inside and out). I don't recall it being all gussied up like that though. Brabus brakes on a 111hp G seem like a bit of overkill.

Re: Replacing throttle position sensor

Plug and play. The sensor is really a two-in-one device. As long as the ECU is getting the same story from both position sensors you are good to go. This thing only seems to fail on the V8 engines (which have an exhaust manifold on the left side). I'm guessing that heat is what kills the sensor. Som...

Re: 463 Grey Leather Jumpseat - SOLD

I put the seat belts into the the sheet metal just below the seat. The thin metal was backed up with giant fender washers (2.5"-3"?). I used pins for the hinge. Can't remember the name for these, but they had a spring loaded BB at the end that helped to retain them. I found it useful to be...

Re: Snapped Tie rod

A snapped tie rod is rather alarming. It implies that the newish part you have was made of the wrong grade of steel. The tie rod on the mid 90's 463 is much more workable. I bent mine into a nice U shape when it got caught on a pointy rock that pushed up into the engine compartment. We (Fernweh and ...

Re: $45,000.00 ??????????

No AC, no Cruise, no Turbo, no sunroof, and apparently some wiring issues. It isn't worth half what he's asking.

Re: OM651 in a W460????

I think it is a great concept. The motor would be a great match. Getting it to work could be a challenge. If you are up for the risk, what I would do is purchase the van and then simplify the electronics in the van without removing the engine. This is much more likely to be successful than the other...

Here is the same sort of information for the OM617a http://sdrv.ms/OtG1Vv

It's >5mb, so no way to directly attach it to a posting.

Re: Round X trapezoidal mounts

MB Frame manual attached, enjoy! where does one obtain the rest of that manual? I purchased a pile of English language G manuals on eBay. I ran those through a HP Digital Sender to turn them into PDF documents. I've made the PDFs available through Harald's distribution: http://www.rubicon-trail.com...
