Re: Engine swap advice - 230G to OM617 turbo

OM602 would bean easier fit. If you can find an OM602A, some G engine mpunts, oil sump, oil pump and other parts. Then it will be bolt on. There is an old thread about that swap on this forum by Fernando. Using OEM parts. Or do the om662a; it’s got a longer stroke that the 250 engine and comes with...

Re: 280GE throttle control module??

Sounds interesting, let me know what you can find. I need to do the same thing, but as I’m installing a PTO driven generator, I will need a 50Hz (3000rpm) input to get my power supply up to spec, so rpm is somewhat critical. I got a throttle rpm set out of an old range rover, out of which this whole...

Re: 280GE throttle control module??

Here are some pics and numbers from the cruise control set that came out of a W123 300TDT.
VDO unit looks pretty similar as what you are showing in that firetruck picture.
VDO unit shows MB 0015457532
Control unit shows MB 0035450732

Interested to know what you’ll find.

Re: Wiring loom plug from early 1980s 460

I got these plugs in my 1982 300GD loom. The front and rear fog lights have the same pin-out, as well as some unknown switches. One wire coming out of this connecter, plugs into I think the clock below the fog light switches.
Hope this helps.

Otherwise install some 4,88:1 axles, but think about the 6 hole axle flanges you might have.

Not sure if the 1980 model already had the transfer case with 3 or 4 support points.

Re: MERCEDES G W461 WOLF BLINKER SWITCH AND EARLY W460

It could be it fits and works just as well, but for the early (1979) 460's with floor mounting window washer switch, this wiper / blinker stalk doens't come with the 'rotating' function for windscreen/front light washing. For all other G's without the floor mounted window washer switch, but with the...

Re: 280GE throttle control module??

Check out the number in this post (page 15 of topic): https://clubgwagen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7817&start=140 I think I have a module you outlined in yellow, but I think it came from a W123 300TDT which had cruise control. I will try to take a picture of it in the near future. But b...

Re: Sedan shifter seal

Hey folks, I have the sedan 4-spd shifter on my iron box. For those that may not be familiar, it is a cheap and easy to find solution for the dog leg gear pattern of the 5-spd iron box. I am looking for the seal that goes between the shifter and the transmission tunnel, so I can make the shifter mo...

Re: Additional gauge mounting pods

Nice. I should have gotten the large one. Looks like it’s a perfect fit with the G vent size. Would it be possible to mount this pod upside down below the center console (so below the ventilation sliders)? I installed my 27MC radio on that spot and it’s nice to have it out of the way, but still goo...

The not so perfect DIY crimp of the bezel will largely be covered by tbe bigger rubber ring. After putting the speedo back in the instrument cluster you won’t see much of the back of the bezel.
No worries.
