Very nice.

I will put the complete set when finished on a scale to check out the total weight, but I can already tell you it's heavy.

Thinking about making a lightweight set :)

Re: SOLD: Hella rocker switches

The idea was manual glow plug control. One less expensive thing to break (OEM glow plug relay). And not be forced to glow the plugs every time its started. In warm temperatures or if engine is already warm. Not draining the battery when there is a different starting issue etc. Pretty common modific...

Chassis to bumper adapter plate finished with 6 x M12 threaded holes.
This plate needs to be welded to the chassis frame and provides the lower mounting location for the two bumper -to-chassis reinforcements.

Re: Conversion of 460/461 tow pin bumper to Canadian Army design

Next steps: Cut outs on the skid plate, so it can be installed between the large bumper-to-chassis reinforcements (used an old rusty one for it). A custom bracket is welded to the bumper-to-chassis reinforcements, because the original skid plate mounts can't be used anymore: IMG_6632 (Small).JPG IMG...

Re: SOLD: Hella rocker switches

What was the idea behind the glow plug switch, to pre heat the engine longer than through the ignition switch timer?

Today welding on the top cover plate and grinding some of the welds to get a smooth service. Some heavy reinforcerments this, looking sturdy: IMG_6550 (Small).JPG IMG_6553 (Small).JPG IMG_6554 (Small).JPG Next started to weld these reinforcements to the cut-out bumper. It took some additional toolin...

Those narrow flare are nice. Expensive, but nice!

Would like to see a company in the fender flare business copy these flares one day.

Re: 460/461 G-wagen receiver hitch

Found another overbuilt g550 towing part. What does this thing attach to? Would it fit up to a 460? 4633100311 5555502852.jpgs-l640.png Looks like a recovery eye. And maybe is a weld-on part to the back of the chassis rail? (On a 460) there's a hole on the end of the chassis rail as well (ventilati...
