You must have full EPC? 7zap only shows the alternator itself. The VR you initially posted (0021549206) is what I'd actually bought years ago, but looking at that number I can't match it up to a G500 (or even m113), let alone my alternator PN. I'll PM you my vin to look in EPC? I may have the corre...

To add to the confusion, the same part number of alternator applicable to a 463.241 model G500 shows no regulator....weird:

Also... try keeping the switch push button down, like the hood was installed, and cycle the locks with your keyfob on and off (lock and unlock). Then try starting.

I always thought the factory alarm switch/system disabled the start mechanism when compromised.
