hi johnny .

the design turns out very well , when is your next visit ?

I have a unexpected need to rebuild my 6 speed box before heading down to Australia. Figured a little roadtrip to Rausdorf might be good for testing it after the rebuild?

We are going to ship in a highcube container and explore Australia on a 4 month trip and then another 4 months in New Zealand. I still have some details to sort out, but we are 98% confident of it will happen in 2020 and 2021.

What wheels are those? And did you convert to a more low profile exhaust tip?

Hi Winston,

These are Rays Engineering TE37 18x9.5 with a custom bead lock.

The exhaust tips I angle cut the tips off to be tucked up in the body cavity. They were getting crushed on small obstacles. I felt pretty bad for a few minutes cutting off nice AMG tips.

My ‘worker’ earning its keep.

Picked up this box from the airport, contains OM605a, 2 5 speed manual gearboxes, shifters, driveshafts, flywheels, motor mount arms, oil pan, and an extra 605 turbo and exhaust manifold.

I know DPUK isn't very popular around here, but they made something nice for the inlet and the exhaust, although loud pipes are totally not of my liking. For the om606a fan crowd worth a look:

And some Russians doing an Volvo C303 portal axle swap on their swb G, proper job by the looks of it:
