Ours was 596 two days ago, however, it is getting better. We still can't go outside and only N95 masks are good against the micro particles in wildfire smoke which can cause very serious lung infections.
Flanker; I used to look at east coast issues like hurricanes and feel both empathy and relief that we only had big earthquakes here on the West Coast and didn't have to deal with the shocking destruction of your storms.
That has changed and I'm scared because a wildfire can move nearly as fast as the wind and we had gusts of 60 mph a few days ago.
If you try to evacuate when they give the "go" warning the roads will be clogged with other vehicles and it can look like Iraq in 1991 when our warplanes incinerated convoys/cars stopped on a highway.
