Easy to check with a hand vacuum pump. Suck on the shut-off diaphragm and see if it holds vacuum

The problem got worse so I will need to trace down the leak this weekend. It took me 30 min the other day to stall the engine since it didn’t shut off and nothing I tried seemed to help. I will order new hoses and valve as well.

If you pop the hood, there is a "Stop" lever you can press on the injection pump. The vacuum diaphragm that is probably leaking, normally pushes this internally to stop the engine. Buy a $30 hand vacuum pump so you can troubleshoot this for sure. Takes just a minute.

I have a hand vacuum pump. I will use it this weekend. When you say vacuum diaphragm you mean the one way valve, right? Not the VCV?

I was never able to find the stop lever. Would you mind posting a photo?

My 300GD hade the same problem when I bought it. The engine took forever to stop. Before replacing all vacuum lines I found a small crack in one of the 90-degree rubberparts commecting the lines together. I haven't found the right part number for it but managed to seal it up with some rubber glue in the meanwhile. No she stops quickly.

Really nice w460 you got there by the way!
What tires/rims are you running?

I must have a different IP. This is what mine looks like.

If I have a different IP, do I have a stop diaphragm still?

I have ordered vacuum hose but is the diesel shut off vacuum valve that you posted (from ebay) appropriate for my set up?

I figured maybe the one-way vacuum valve (green in picture) needed replacing?

Carl....

I think the vacuum line to the brake servo is blocking the throttle linkage and shutoff in this picture. Can you raise the camera.
