Hi all,
So today I found the answer to my question. The wheels with 285/65/18 will fit! I have 30mm spacers already. No rubbing, no issues!

just to clarify on the G55 front springs - they're about 35mm lower ....same rear's as the 63... best solution if you want stock height but balanced ride height, and to fit a 285"+ in is to rung 63 fronts...cheap enough at 300 or so - and pair nicely with a 40mm or 50mm spring spacer if you're looking for a mild lift.

I found the bargain priced Koni Raid work really nicely on my G55 with that setup before I jumped up to a full 4" lift and 35's...but that's a whole 'nother ball of wax...

285 is the right call for the thinner flares - 30mm spacers should push those out to the edge of the flare if you want a maximized stance. the 55's sitdown about 35mm in the nose- rear springs are the same as G63....

look forward to pics - what tire are you going with ?

IMO-The 30 mm spacers with the older +63mm offset factory rims such as the ATIK’s or later 18” wheels with same +63mm offset is a perfect match when coupled with a 285 tire.
Using the later 9.5” - 18” AMG wheel, which has a +50mm offset and a 30mm spacer combo will stick out a 1/2” farther out. Depending on your choice of 285 tires, some of the tread might stick out a little from the skinny flairs. Picking a 22mm spacer instead of the 30mm combined with the AMG wheels will help keep things tucked in.

I run 285/60/18's on my 95 g320 with the amg 55 rims. No spacers, no rubbing.

Hey Todd - I plan to chose a similar setup for my 2007 G55 (ORC 40mm springs w. Nitto 285/65 18 tires).

Have you done anything else to your suspension?

Any chance you got some more pics?

Mike,
I purchased the 2" Lift Kit from Jackwagon Overlanding. The kit came with ORC springs and Koni Raid adjustable shocks. I also installed H&R 30mm spacers.

The modest two inch lift shifted the front wheels out of center to the driver's side. To correct this, I installed an adjustable panhard bar. The rear wheels were not as noticeable, so I didn't purchase one for the rear.

Also, while I was at it, I installed a Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer to compensate for the lift and larger tires.

Jack at Jackwagon Overlanding was a huge help, and walked me though my suspension options. I highly recommend contacting him to assist you with the modifications to your truck.

I don't have a lot of pictures of the truck, but here a couple with the Gobi rack. Hope this helps.
