Long-Life Grease - Mercedes-Benz (000-989-63-51-09)

I want to grease the universal joints under my 1989 250GD 461.. so the spec is Long-Life Grease - Mercedes-Benz (000-989-63-51-09)... Could I use the spec: NLGI class 2, Long-life grease... I did a search but got lost
in the minutiae...so guess MB $22 plus shipping, for I am not sure of size of container.. whatever can't be too small... let me know if there is a substitute that's not $30

Puzzling me as well. Based on forum posts I used a shell lithium moly gl2 grease while I was waiting on the mb stuff, but I have an mb heavy duty grease and different part number than what you show.

When I scroll down on the site you reference is see the following resolving this discrepancy

Replaces:
000-989-63-51, 000-989-63-51-11

This stuff cost me 120.00 for 4 tubes, I am getting the rest from vlad not sure how much cheaper. The shell rotellla doesn't look right, by the way.

Try Wurth SIC 3000. This stuff is like monkey-snot. The stickiest, tackiest, can't get it off anythingiest grease I've ever come across. Just stocked up with a case of it for the shop.
