Blower motor removal

I think the 1986-1990 version actually started in at least 1984 - that's the version I find on '84-85 vehicles.

It's not a hard job
I've done loads of these
Btw the trucktec pattern blower works just as well as the Hella and for half the price !
Don't forget the band aids !

Could it be the cover for an AC equipped w460 1984-1986 with rocker fan switch, rocker AC switch and round light switch?

I suppose the knobs from the blower adjustments are removed to get that cover off. It has a weird A464 part number.

Never seen it before...

A4646890008 Part number search in EPC say that it fits a late w460 230GE or 290GD.

With non-split part on newer W461s levers and knobs on HVAC unit are separate pieces.
Knobs are installed after panel. Some ebay pics of parts:

I believe there is some discripancy. Alot of people I know have the rocker fan switch in their 1984 w460. But apparently the later round fan switch was also installed the same year.

I guess it could be a matter of markets or early / late 1984 production.
