pre-MBUSA door pocket mounting repair pieces

After playing with many G's over the years the one thing I've noticed on nearly all pre-mbusa are the blobs of fiberglass used to hold together door pocket mounts from breaking off or trucks missing their door pockets entirely (like my personal G) because of blown apart plastic tabs. Often the fiberglass repairs leave door pockets sitting unevenly, creating oddball gaps and rattles.

A friend and I came up with a very simple solution that will require minimal effort for a maximum result. These repair pieces are simply placed over the broken area and epoxied in place. They are a set height for maximum contact, so they will require you to file down your broken section until these sit flush to the rest of the panel. Scuff the area you've filed down, epoxy, and viola problem solved. I have a set for my personal G which is seeing maximum weight in the door pocket to see the effectiveness of the repair. So far, so good.

If there's any interest in these, we're thinking we can get by making a full kit for both sides for under $40 shipped. Each piece will be marked as the door pockets are shaped differently on their mounting location. If interest seems good, we'll work on making the repair parts individually sold if you have a single broken tab. Let me know what you guys think, I'd be happy to get production on these ramped up for anyone who needs them.

Nice design! I epoxied some fiberglass cloth and a SS washer over the broken nubs and re-drilled the hole.

Your design is much cleaner. You might want to include a pocket for a SS washer to distribute the stress.
