Seems like a good deal - sub $200. Planning on installing on my Europa w463, I guess I could even hook up the DRL function, or not.

That's a great deal. I paid ~$400 for the JWS 8700 Evo J2's a few months back and installed them in my 05. Light output is night and day compared to the OE halogens.

Does the ring that holds the original lens work with this light?

JW Speaker 8700s are the go-to LED replacement head lights for the G. $200 is a great price for them, although, I wonder if the price drop is indicative of the introduction of a newer model.

I believe that if you have an earlier Europa G, they federalized them with standard 7" sealed beam headlights so the JWS LEDs should fit. For MBUSA G's you will need to obtain an adapter ring to replace the buckets on these Gs. AFAIK, the rings used to Federalize the Europa Gs are NLA. JWS sells a "motorcycle" ring that I have read can be used. I have also heard that certain Porsche rings will work also.

For my MBUSA 2005 I used these generic round headlight adapters

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LJ69VYY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I had to drill the adapter rings to line up with the holes on the w463 front fender but it was quick and easy. Total install time with plug adapters took a
Less than an hour. (The J2’s needed an adapter but the Evo2’s are a direct plug in to the OE headlight plug - I only went with the J2’s because they were black and ~$100 cheaper than the Evo2’s when I purchased)

Great upgrade/mod and definitely worth it. I only wish they looked more period correct (they look too modern/bug eyed to me) but I’ll trade off the look for the upgrade in light output any day

At Amazon, there are lights, from $ 74, will they be of low quality?
Are the evo2s of superior quality?

I'd wait for some long term reviews. Might have poor focus, overheat (short life), or leak.

The JW Speaker LED lights are the go-to for round headlights. Used a ton by the miata and Jeep crowd. They're more expensive than some of the others, and the knock offs (similar design) are all not as good in terms of sealing and light output.

Also, a main driver for me to get the JW Speaker 8700 Evo J2's is because JWS products are actually DOT approved. Most of these amazon copies just say they are. Also manufacturer's warranty from a company that has been around for a while is gold in my opinion.
