Thanks, would love those numbers when you have them.

Do you have the timing tool, with the 2 LED lights that illuminate when you are spot on?

Thanks again guys, I think we got it mostly dialed.

It was smoking too much, and loud af, but then we put the 3.0L fuel pump on there instead of the 3.5L and that seemed to mean less excess fuel in the chamber to burn off.

So all is pretty good now. I will say that the engine is louder than before, sounding more "diesely." Did any of you experience this with the combo of the 3.0L bottom end and the 3.5L head?

One theory is to put the 3L gasket on the 3.5L head because maybe there's a bit more room in there?

No difference in putting the 3.5 L head on the 3 L. Use the latest and greatest head gasket that you can buy with a Viton insets.

Does it smoke a lot when you accelerate? You may need to adjust your Alda if it does.

Are you using new injectors with the screw in threads at the bottom? The old injectors from the 3 L motor will not work with the 3.5 head. I should say they will not work well with a 3.5 head.

A well adjusted IP and injectors will clatter a lot less. When I serviced the IP pump and the injectors on the emerald green 350gd I had last year the engine became so quiet as I couldn’t imagine. It was a nice and soft clatter, I couldn’t believe it.

Is there more information on the IP adjusting and injectors for 603 and 606 engines by chance? A link or info would be very appreciated.

Thanks.

I know they hook up the IP to a calibrating stand and observe flow and probably change a few internals… honestly I don’t know. There has to be a shop or two in the US who rebuild and calibrate injectors and IPs of the era.
