Has anyone ever swapped from a M102 to a M103? A member here has an M103 and auto transmission for sale and I'm curious just how big a pain in the ass it might be to swap. I'm not naïve enough to think it'll be plug and play maybe wondering how much $$ it will cost to have a (good) mechanic do the swap.
WHY? My 102 is "fine". The auto trans shifts and there's no leaks. She runs shockingly well. The gain I would think would be in going from a four gear to five which would (I assume) make it a more practical driver.
Also feel like being able to have the M103 and transmission completely gone through and rebuilt prior to a swap would be awesome since I wouldn't have to take the G off the road during.
Any thoughts?
