Really should be a lot easier since it will be completely electronically controlled (some day). As I have limited time and money, I am just doing a little each month, nibbling away at it. Really need to have an exhaust shop run my exhaust before I install the inner fenders, so I figure that's probably going to have to go next. After that I can begin moving forward on closing up the front end and running wiring and plumbing fuel and coolant systems.

Have you decided what to do about the short center shaft?
Are you going CV style?

I'm in the process of a OM602a + 722.6 conversion and I want to run a CV style center shaft. I currently have a 6 bolt flange on the VG-80 t-case. Any thoughts or advice?

GKN, the maker of the W463 shaft, has a broad array of interchangable parts to make complete shafts. Build up what you want.

Well, finally got the passenger side fenders installed. I was waiting to complete the wiring on the starter and alternator (thank you Alan!). The Right side will take a lot longer as that is where all the real plumbing has to be done, both fuel and brakes, not to mention my double carden steering linkage!.
I have ordered the flange for the 722.6 and have the flange for the TC (thank you Vad!). So as I continue to tie off the original wiring I will work on everything else.

Due to the many posts I have read regarding rust at the body/fender gap I decided to place strips of Emseal polyurethane expanding foam tape to prevent water and debris from getting into this area in the future. Since it only has adhesive on one side it allows removal of fenders if needed in the future.

I like the foam tape idea - cushions vibration and seals too. Be sure it's closed-cell foam so it doesn't retain moisture.

It's coming together very nicely. I'm on the edge of my seat to hear how this works!!!

Good point. I interned at this company for a summer and learned more than I ever wanted to know about expansion joints. You can buy this stuff at Home Depot.
