Can you confirm the WA-0492 is forged? I read somewhere that these might not.
The military 16x6.5 are: http://www.rubicon-trail.com/G-Class/wheels/IFAV.html

Like I mentioned from prev post, I had these WA-0492 wheels I got from Tony Cruthers in Portland in 2012. No issue w wobbly or vibration from the wheels but from my GY Duratrac. RoadForce balance solved it. Remember, you will need a good installer that know how to mount these wheels and tires.

I’ll be honest...I can’t seem to get an accurate answer.

There are so many model number changes and different applications (IED, Mine protection and Armored). The 6.5j is the true military IFAV/LUVW specification seems to be truly “forged” and the 7.5j (WA-0492) which is for the armored G might have been forged as well and now cast.

Judging by the weight and how S-TEC lists them as cast on their website. I’m going to say they are cast. If someone can chime in that would be great!

All Hutchinson bead lock wheels offered to public market which includes the Military and "Rockmonster" line up are all cast construction.

Hutchinson will only offer forged versions for Military/Defense contract orders only.

Great info - thank you Guido!!!

Interesting to see that each wheel weighs 40 lbs. Not as bad as I thought, although not "light"
