4wd & TC brass instruction plate

I posted a request for this part in the classified section:
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=4690

So it appears this plate was fixed to a few G's, I have one and so does a friend on his 300GD. They both have connections with Japan so its likely that its something Mercedes Japan had fitted. Not sure if this was done at the factory or not. I thought it was on all W460's

Anyway while I am trying to find a source for them I have made enquiries at a company which can make reproduction plates. Waiting on a price.
Would anyone else be interested in getting one? I am also thinking of changing the red to black/gray.

Here is a scanned image of my plate. It measures 112mm x 50mm.

cheers,
Graham.

Interesting, the console in my truck has the four screws, but the plate was removed long ago.
I always wondered what the screws were for...

I have ordered 20 of these, in embossed brass like the original but with black paint filler instead of red.

They will be around $US30 each plus postage.

Let me know if anyone wants one and I will reserve it. I have only ordered a limited number and almost half are gone.
