I must mention that my G started out as a 300GD 603NA. So Not exactly apples to apples.

Hey Mark, so the intermediate adapter plate used on the 616-617 won't bolt up to the 603? Does it really matter what side the starter is On?

Wayne, the bell housings are completely different and not compatible. Different shape & bolt pattern. Starter position is just an easy quick way to identify what version you're dealing with

Locked up. How did you run your A/C lines? I'm ready to set the motor in but it's such a pain to work on those lienes where they connect to the firewall. Thanks.

I like what you did, btw how did you address the engine mount issues, the M103 is thinner than the om606, also what about the exhaust manifold?

Hey there...i have a 603a swapped into my 460. Question for you...Wondering if you had sorted the ELR? Mine is not connected and have both high idle and rpm hangs bw shifts. Does yours?
