I installed this sender when I did my swap last year. Idiot light works fine. Finally got around to installing a 100 PSI VDO oil pressure gauge today like Vadim posted above.
Got everything hooked up using 14 gauge wire as recommend by VDO, dedicate ground, blah. When I turn the ignition to on needle creeps up ever so slightly. When I actually start the truck the needle pegs at 100 as described above and stays there. After driving for a while/warmed up the needle drops down to about 40 PSI at idle, 80 PSI at bery light throttle and pegged at 100 PSI the rest/majority of the time. I thought read 617a oil pressure while driving was around 50 PSI with relief valve opening at around 102-110 PSI (WOT/heavy engine load.) Thinking I might need a different gauge..?
