Hi Bruce, I'm looking for the rubber trim for my 1979 W460 as well. Would be very curious if someone knew where to buy them.

I'm just removing all my side trim picture attached. It did look like G500pur new side trim. Looked liked there was metal inside the rubber trim and it rusted away and made the side trim bulk out bend??. Can this be fixed? or do i need to simply replace side trim...whats teh best options out there..I'm repainting my G a metallic black

Once those rust, they are done and need to be replaced. I have used front door pieces in nice rust-free condition left over from my project or you can buy them new from a number of sources.

This new trim is the same profile, but solid rubber. Both have the metal insert for stiffening and use the same hole spacing.

Any idea if the new 461 waist trim metal insert is as prone to rusting as the 460? I thought my 460 trim was salvageable but the metal is completely rotted.

The new waist trims are with galvanized steel inserts.
They are made by ZenTech Automotive GmbH in case someone want to source it outside the Mercedes dealer network
