Does this apply to all xfer cases (460/461/463) and all years? Thanks

Detroit trans fluid 75W-90

this is supposedly the exact same fluid that MB uses at the dealer, just under the Detroit brand (MB owns Detroit). You can usually only buy a barrel from MB part sites but this is the 1 Gallon version. Was hard to find but worth it if you only want to use MB spec fluids

Power steering fluid for 1998 G320?
I've got a bottle of CHF 11S on the shelf from a previous German vehicle I owned.

Newbie question: When it comes to the fluid for diffs, is there any different considerations to be made when looking at my 1998 463 vs. a newer or older model? In other words, are there any models or model years that stand out as needing anything specific, or are the weights and specs standard for all Gs?

I use Mercedes steering fluid specifically for the w463 chassis, which is NOT the same as CHF11S. I was told that Dextron III would work as well.

I think for your 463 you can follow the recommendations that Aircruiser posted for the diffs and Xfer case. For your m112 I'd use a 5w40 full synthetic that's MB approved.

I realize this reply is months too late, but I couldn't help myself!

I recently came across these products and had to share them.
Hot Shot's Secret - DDD Diesel Duo, 2qt STICTION Eliminator and 2qt Diesel Extreme https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00545OUYS/re ... AVSYW9FMR6

My 617 had some issues as the previous owner that installed the turbo did not upgrade the oil cooler or intake. Naturally, oil was burning and the engine was getting too hot. I flushed all systems, upgraded the oil cooler, and added a snorkel but was still having issues.
I called a local diesel shop and Stiction Eliminator was recommended. I immediately had an improvement in power and on a lark, I ran some through the fuel pump (1/6) and a knocking from the injectors disappeared.

Just thought I would pass it along.
If perfection was attainable, who would want it?
