I guess. I've got a cumulative 600,000 miles on our two OM606's using Delo 400 15W40, and the untouched E300 is running perfectly. Note that I live in a warmer climate. If we had cold winters, I'd be tempted to use the 5W40 for winters.

I started out with a 15W40 synthetic oil when I first acquired my Wolf. But it's 8 months of winter plus 4 months of tough sledding here in the Alberta foothills and my Wolf didn't like that thick syrup. So 5W30 it is for these environs. My little OM602 seems to like it fine during what passes for summer here and winter starting is mucho better. I could only wish I lived someplace with a climate that warrants 15W40 ...

I have a W460 250GD, and I'm replacing my Clutch Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder. is there a specific type of fluid I use for this, Mercedes brand? or regular DOT 4 fluid?

Yes, DOT 4 brake fluid for clutch system hydraulics. About 0.3 litres. Flush and replenish every 2 years, just like braking system hydraulics.

Hey guys! I have an 02 G500, I have some redline MT90, for my differentials, I was going to drain and replace that today, I was wondering how much is needed for each differential? Thanks!

I was also going to grease the axle-balls, I have a couple tubes of EP Marine grease for that, how many tubes do they take?

For the drive shafts any EP grease should work right? How many pumps of grease do those take? I need a needle for those right? Where are the nipples on those?

Thanks everyone!

My notes say:
Front 1.4L
Rear 1.8L
Xfer 2.8L
Shaft center zerk fitting, 2-3 pumps max.
Shaft end fittings, until old stuff is pushed out.
Axle balls, fill until up to the opening. I find it hard to get them all that full because the grease doesn't flow away from the opening that well.
