All,

2014 g550 70k miles, CPO at dealer, white on light grey int, $67 k. Does that seem reasonable? Any problems with the 2014 model year?

I don't really know if that is a good/reasonable price, it really depends on many things.

Some random notes: That year G550 has a throaty exhaust note and a naturally aspirated engine. It requires 4LO to engage the lockers, it doesn't have the inside 5th door latch and it has the engine start/stop "feature". The start/stop feature can be disabled at every startup.

Is the start/stop on the g550 that year? Or just the g63?

Price might be a few thousand high but maybe that’s the CPO premium.

It’ll have a few more bells and whistles than your 460.

The exhaust note is definitely nice on those years G550! I have gotten used to disabling the auto stop start feature about 95% of the time I think I saw an OBD adapter that disables it permanently on Instagram but it’s not enough of a bother

The CPO warranty at that mileage is the premium as I think it’s unlimited mileage right? So if you plan on driving it a lot, it will probably pay for itself. Get it checked out by an independent from time to time to have the CPO pay for hidden /non-obvious worn items

Quite a lot of miles for a ‘14 - just make sure it’s rust free and that the interior is still real nice at that price.

2014 and 2015 G550 do not have Start/Stop. That began with the forced induction G550 model in 2016. All G63 back to 2013 have Start/Stop.

IMO, the 2014 and 2015 G550 are the sweet spot of the last era of 463.

All, thank you for input. Now i have to convince my wife we need a third G-wagen.... and sixth car... Any ideas?

I stand corrected. The 2014 doesn't have the start/stop feature, but according to the 2015 G-Class owners manual the 2015 AMG has it. They refer to it as ECO start/stop function.
