2008 Safari Cayenne Turbo w/PDCC F/T Diesel LWB

Throwing this out there to see if there’s any interest from some fellow German off-road enthusiasts! I’m located in NYC

I have a 2008 957 Cayenne Turbo with the rare PDCC package (hydraulic sway bar that dramatically increases on road and off road handling, think KDSS for Toyota). At the time I was looking, I could only find 3 Cayennes nationwide that had PDCC.

130XXX on the clock
Panoramic roof with new frame and motors
Engine was pulled to upgrade coolant hoses and turbo connector units to metal. The stock ones are plastic and eventually would all unglue and crumble. The rear bottom hose outlet was also tapped to stay secure and upgraded to a metal fitting.
Cardan shaft upgraded (the only other real point of weakness on these)
3” Eurowise spacer lift (it has functional air suspension)
1” subframe drop
Upgraded tubular control arms
18” Method wheels
285/70/18 KO2 tires, 7k miles ok them
Custom wheel adapters/spacers to fit Toyota bolt pattern
Custom Eurowise front and rear tubular bumpers
Eurowise tubular frame sliders
Eurowise v2 full roof rack
Eurowise metal MOLLE trunk window inserts to store gear out of the way
Custom side exhaust (sounds absolutely amazing. Stock muffler deleted but Cat and Res still in place)
New plugs
New coils
New battery
New brakes and pads (Brembo)
Upgraded android CarPlay screen (looks OEM, no brackets or spacers needed)
Upgraded rear camera
Weathertech mats

There’s prob a single digit number of safari/off road Cayenne turbo’s out there. Most of them are NA v6 or v8 variants. For those unfamiliar, 957 Cayennes only occurred in 2008-2009. 955’s were a previous and pre-face lifted version from 2003-2007. These first gen Cayenne’s are the only ones that came with 4x4. Later generations only came with full-time AWD.

The interior is brown leather in great condition and has been treated with Leatherique products

I can send more pics if there’s any interest. I owned two land cruisers in the past, but never a G-Wagen!

*edit* two of the photos uploaded upside down

Nice cayenne. It looks to have all the usual problem items serviced, quality mods, and PDCC is pretty neat.
Engine was pulled to upgrade coolant hoses and turbo connector units to metal.

I have a 955 Turbo that's begun to drip from there - I plan on going in from the top (intake manifold off, remote hose clamp pliers) ... but it's been too cold to bother and my G is more fun to drive (even though it drives worse).
Good luck with the search.

Thank you! Yes, the problem areas of the coolant and drive shaft were literally the first things I did when I bought it to get them out of the way. Your 955 is leaking from the rear bottom port?

The cayenne checks off almost every box. They handle so well (that like you said) you can’t really compare it to a G since to me they are apples to oranges. The cayenne is certainly great off road but is a much sportier build. The G reminds me much more of an 80 series or an old LR disco, just incredibly stout engineering.

If forum rules state a price, I will say $50k OBO. I think the last and only time I have seen an off-road/safari turbo *edit* WITH PDCC *end edit* sell was an auction and it went got $45k (this was before these blew up in popularity and the ECU shortage.

There are non turbo, non PDCC models going for 30k or higher from what I’ve seen. And they don’t have the maintenance and service work this one has. I honestly don’t feel like going through the hassle of listing it on an auction since I’m not really in the mood to sell, but I would certainly be willing to talk to people interested.

I feel like it’s buried in the title and been overlooked, but it appears you’re also interested in a trade for a G? Might elaborate on that!

Yes, I put it in the title I believe? I’m interested in any trades for a diesel LWB, but would certainly consider any LWB as well!

If EuroWise built this truck, it's legit. They know what they are doing with Cayenne builds.

They did! This was actually the test truck for them to really start producing the tubular bumpers. Those guys are awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate to take any vehicle to them again. I have receipts for that work, and the other engine/cardan shaft work as well (among the other things)
