This one is located near me in Sweden. Its a classic w461 290GD from the swedish military service. In this case a service vehicle for the Air Force. The owner has added a lift and Hutchinson rims. Thats it I think.

Generally these cars are low mileage G:s in very good condition because the army / air force service them well. Most that I have seen were without rust on body and frame, but I haven't inspected this one personally.

They usually have a webasto heater installed from the factory.

Upside with 24V is less sensitive electrical system when it comes to earth / ground problems, oxidized contacts etc.

If the seller is serious there should be a full service book with hand written mileage available since the car was delivered to the Swedish Air Force.

Price is above what these cars generally sell for in Sweden. But the condition is also above what we usually see.

I think it's RAL 6031 Bronzegrün.
I assume this is a guess?
Just wondering because from a previous conversation regarding military paint I noted down MB 6431 paint (6431)
DULL MATT BRONZE GREEN.
Is it just a hue difference - anyone have a pic?
Further to compare what is the Canadian mil G paint code?

Truck is sold. No pictures available anymore unless somebody saved them.

Since this was a swedish ex. military truck, it wasn't painted in a RAL code. And it wasn't painted in a Canadian Army color code or special paint.

Swedish Defence uses these green colors with their own color codes.

Nr 322M Bright Green
Nr 325H Olive Green
Nr 326H Dark Green
Nr 326M Dark Green
Nr 328M Dark Olive Green

This particular 290GD was probably painted in 326H or 326M.

That was a good buy. Quite rare, very original and in good apparent shape. Congrats to the buyer. Wish we had the vin (for educational purposes).

Thx for the codes. I assume these are Ral numbers?

Guido - this is the code I see on the Wolf as well but since it is a camo paint job, is this code for the green spots? Do you have a pic of what this looks like when painted fresh, all of them are faded out hard to see what they look like when new.

Those are not RAL-numbers. Swedish Defence have their own colors that are non RAL.

*H and *M suffix are gloss ratings. H = Semi matte, M = matte.

I was wrong. Swedish Army uses the "Canadian Army color" on their G:s.

Color code: 6431

Just checked the VIN for a similar swedish w461.338 Military G from 1993 (290GD). Same model as the one that was sold in the ad.

Most other swedish military vehicles uses those other color codes though.

Time to time I see them for sale in Poland around 9-12.000 euro. They are probably directly from military auction so not so nice as this one (e.g. plain steel wheels...). Never checked the condition of any of them but I can do so if anybody is interested.
