Brake Booster for w460

Came across this and was wondering if anyone has tried it on earlier w460 (pre chassis # 033337)

Any result? lower pedal effort? better response/braking power?

This is the booster used in the newer w460 also. I've never tried the old version but this one works great. Plenty of boost & responsive pedal. It can be used in the early G with no compatibility issues from what I've heard.

I'm pretty sure there is a 8" and a 9" booster only. Even the new Gs use the 9" but with more doodads attached to the housing.

i have a new one shipped at 360,00 - euro or a used one at 180,00 - euro shipped , both are the black 9" brake boosters .

I know this is an old thread, but I think you're about right Vadim.

My january-1982 300GD got the metal finish (8" ? ) booster, whereas my 1984 280GE got the black (9" ?) booster.
So somewhere between these years the color and size changed.
