Man I would seriously check that out if I were in the area. That's what I really want. It would be over 2 grand after shipping though.

I'd want to be holding the rack in my own hands before any money changes hands. That storage facility deal sounds sketchy to me. So many scams on CL lately I've been looking at those with much caution. Just sayin'.

That would be the thing, though. Very cool and rare.

Have him take some close-up photos of the rack for you. Or even have the owner of the storage facility take the photos. This would help prove the legitimacy of the rack.

So far, nothing happening with more detailed requests for photos, etc. I am back to the idea of just the roof rack, and sleeping in a tent or inside the G.

The drag coefficient of a G is already = to a lumpy brick. Adding more lumps and overhead height (folding tent) does not further my cause all that much. I can see the addition of the rack and gear, allowing more space inside for stuff. I really do not want fuel inside the living quarters, even though that adds to overhead weight. Karl's fuel carry system (side of vehicle) seems interesting too.

So, Rack-on!!

I have experience on the Car Roof Tents since 2006. I created most quality 'Eminent' Car Roof top tents and taken these patents. The special features 'Eminent' tents are open semi automatic in one or two seconds. When we are press with fingers on two buttons, the tent open.
They are very useful and easily set up on cars.

I purchased a set of Hella 4000 series pencil lights and matching guards from cartopsgw.com a while ago. I like the size of the 4000 series, but warning to anyone who intends to install them on the front bumper: they are too deep to fit without manufacturing a bespoke bracket. They will be offset from the front bumper one installed.
