Sagging Driver's Side Armrest

Purchased used 2000 and the driver's side arm rest sags about 3" when any weight is put on it. Do I just replace the arm-rest itself, or do I have to dig into the side/back of the seat and shore something up? I googled "sagging armrest" and found nothing.

thx,
Andrew

Hello Andrew,

The armrest attached to the seat is a common failure item. (Insert standard European wisecrack about overweight Americans here) :P

You have to replace the internals of the armrest and reuse your leather cover. The part is readily available.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
