Welcome Andy! I am a new member and have learned a bunch from this forum - folks are very knowledgable and helpful. Lots of years of experience and ownership with some members. I suggest you go to the forum “G Vehicles FS/FT/WTB” and post what you think you want. They helped me narrow down exactly what I wanted after I learned what each of the “early” Gs pluses and minuses were, what there capabilities are, cost, availability, etc. Have fun!

Ideally, I'll wait to sell my E500 Renntech wagon before buying a G, but not sure I'll have the patience!

It can take 6 months to a year to find the perfect one for you. Take your time you will have many fun miles ahead of you. If you rush you could end up with a poorly maintained G that looks nice aka "lipstick on a pig" but needs a lot of work mechanically.

my 2 cents worth

Welcome Andy !!! I’m new has well on this forum.
I actually bought and old G500 from 2002 , not in perfect condition a little rust but the engine is strong for now.... so not too much lip stick on the pig  !for now.
Have fun here !! I hope to do the same.

My best.

Theres gotta be a song here...

The devil went down to Georgia
He was lookin' for a Gwagon to steal
He was in a bind
'Cause he was way behind
And he was willin' to make a deal....

When he came upon this young man named andyrog
drivin' his E500 Renntech wagon for a possible tradin'
And the devil jumped
Up on a hickory stump
And said, "boy, let me tell you what"

no? Ok, I'll see myself out..never was much good at music stuff.
