And you do have to remove both the front and rear passenger seats to extract headliner?

The B and C pillar trim comes off without removing the seats.
Easiest path out for the headliner is the windshield opening, headliner may not like being folded into a taco to fit through the cargo door.

I don't think is absolutely required. I got it out with the seats intact. However I was not being nice to the headliner since I knew I was going to cut it at the B-pillars. Putting back a nicely refinished headliner probably requires taking out one front seat.
I believe that the factory puts it in through the windshield opening.

I talked to Ian about this a little while back as I'm going to be doing the same to my headliner. The front + rear passenger seats have to come out to be able to tilt the headliner diagonal to fit out of the rear door

That is what the WIS procedure indicated, just wanted to check before I blow my back out for nothing

Sorry just seeing this, dang. Wish I had that PDF when I took mine out. I actually removed the whole sunroof because I loosened the wrong bolts and lost the track guide.... Was not fun.

That PDF pretty much nails it.

Finally got my new rack installed and did a nice shake down last weekend to get things in order for my drive up the 101 to Seattle in a couple weeks.
