welcome to the forum .
your G is a 1988 250GD , then you are limited with motor conversions as your G has the short ratio 6.16666 axle ratio , you can check that first .
for motor conversion you will need much longer axle ratio .

mfg. guido .

Hello and welcome to the club.

I've a very similar G wagon, so I will be following your build for sure!

I posted those, they came as extras with my 250GD. I’d post them here too, but not sire if I want to deal with shipping them.

The creativity on those 15" wheels really caught my attention. I have the same wheels in the oem gray. But that polish and black accent would look so sweet on my black 460. Thanks for the inspiration.

The polish and black paint seem to be from factory. I actually have never seen these on other Gs in person or in photos so they seem to be pretty rare. They have a deeper offset and are wider.

From the spec sheet:
R78 LIGHT ALLOY WHEELS FOR WIDE TIRES

Kinda wish I could find a nice set of stock wheels . Not as easy to come by as one would think given the amount of “updating” that seems to be going on these days .... spent about an hour searching posts for rim info . Offsets that can be swapped from diff years etc . No luck yet . Seems to be a decent set of 18’s and with some quick google searching they seem to be stock 7.5x18 et63 . Do all w463’s use the same offset ?
