200GE waterpump

Hello everybody. I recently joined this forum and this is my first post. I live in the island of Tenerife, Spain where I work in the building industry. I recently bought a partially restored 200GE and have been dedicating some work which I undertake myself to its maintenace and restoration. This forum has been a great aid towards fixing some of the problems I found as well as finding suppliers of spare parts.
Recently the water pump with OEM 1022011801 broke down and I am loooking for a substitute and found options by Hella, Dolz and Saleri in Italy, but I am not really sure if they would be adequate substitutes.
Even though my G is rare and only sold in Italy I wondered if anybody here had any input on this problem.

Regards.

Enrique

hi enrique .

the 200GE is in most parts similar to the 230GE , the 200GE was build as there have been taxes in italy which have been cheaper for cars under 2,0 liter , no other reason as i know .
there are 2 different types of water pump avail for the 200/230GE , one is with a cone like shown in my pics ( this is an aftermarket part i have ) the other version is with a big bolt in the middle .
i think the other version was sold from MB only .

mfg. guido .

Thank you very much Guido.
The one you show seems like it would work fine. I have found products from Dolz (M173), Hella (8MP376 803-611) and Saleri (PA447). The problem is that none of them are recognized as compatible with OEM 1022011801.
I think I will also try to open the pump and see if it is serviceable.

Thanks again.

I have an R 1022011801 on my PUCH 230GE and am having a hard time finding a suitable substitute...
Swiss Army vehicles has Part N0 1022004301; which obviously doesn't fit!

Is there a way I can replace the parts into my old pump from the new one?

Perhaps there is a pulley+fan that will make that pump usable on your engine?

Check out the water pump for the 190E 2.3. and the 16 valve: A1022004201 or 1022005001
