Gwagen Alloys

I know that this topic has been beaten to death on P3 and BW forums, as well as extensive coverage on Harald's site, but I'm still confused. I'm negotiating with a company to manufacture alloy wheels for my early 460 (VIN 46023317007691). If I were to order custom 8J x 16 alloys, what would be the proper backspacing (in ET mm)?

What would be the proper backspacing for 8J x 16 steelies?

Thanks,

-BRAH

"ET" (a value used in Europe) is measured from the center of the wheel to the mounting surface
"backspace" (a value used in the US) is measured from the back lip of the wheel to the mounting surface

which ET or backspace is right for you depends on the width and diameter of the intended tire - the steering geometry of the factory setting should be copied as closely as possible.
Do some reading using Google to learn more before you decide which ET is right for you.

Goal should be "Lenkrollradius" 0 or slightly negative.
