Hi Guido I mean the one from 300 CDI Professional with the 3 vents (1 large and 2 small) - it also has 2 small covers / spoilers / deformations - will it fit on a W463?
Also do you have the pattern of the fitting non-skid matt / stickers as on Canadian - also need the size?
As you see questions over questions ;)

The walk on hood has no hood pad, but one could be added easily. There are no hood support straps which usually help to hold the hood insulation pad in place. The foam layer in the sandwich provides plenty of insulation, so I am not sure it would be necessary. I have the hood mounted on a 1999 463. On a later 463 (2002+), the air channel is different and would need to be removed from the original hood and mounted on the walk on hood.

The overly the air channel, so they would just be additional air intake vents

my hood is for a cabrio which is super rare , got it from a blue helmets crash car .
the G300CDI walk on hood costs in the begin of this years more than 3200,00 - euro , now in june about 5% more . i do not have a part number on hand .

The extra vents are probably just a way of moving more air. I've always felt that the original W463 vent plate was too small. The W463 version was "upgraded" from the W460 version by filling in the center portion that is directly over the scoop. I think this was done to reduce the amount of debris falling into the AC evaporator. A laudable goal, but it did cut into flow capacity.

Wouldn't you get too much rain water in the evaporator if the center section was open? This may cause the evaporator tray to overflow inside the car especially washing the car or just hosing it down unless you remember to close the scoop damper but who will remember to do that every time.
