For this motor, which is happiest and most efficient between 4000-6000rpm, an overdrive transmission is hardly worth the effort.

you are right, i agree with you that M110 mostefficient perfomance is between 4000-6000rpm, but due to the long drive travel that might be a bit annoying , maybe the overdrive on the 5th gear would help ? what do you think ?
and for the auto 4 speed, i have another W460 which works perfectly with the auto 4 speed.
